She has worked in community-based develpment, human rights, and indigenous sovereignty movements throughout the Americas, as well as in India and Palestine. Some of the orgnisations she has been active in since the early 1990s: Project acompagnement Quebec-Guatemala, EZLN National & International Solidarity Movement, UNAM Student Strike, la CLAC, NOII-Montreal, SAB-SSF, UFCW migrant worker unionization, Montreal neighborhood housing rights groups.
